College Librarian
Oxford, England, UK
Hannie has about 20 years of library and information experience starting at St Paul’s Girls’ School, London in 2002. She has been working for the University of Oxford since 2006, starting in the Philosophy and Theology Faculties Library and now at Wycliffe Hall as the college librarian.  Prior to Wycliffe Hall, she was in the Sainsbury Library at the Saïd Business School as the Collections and Instructional Materials Manager. Her work had a particular focus on copyright compliance for Executive Education reading materials and oversaw its collections.
She also worked in the China Centre Library, Oriental Institute Library, and Korean Collections (Bodleian Oriental Section), where she was involved in various projects related to the discovery of untouched Korean collections in Oxford, which led to the “Korean Treasures” exhibition (2011) and its publication (2011), and the “Window on Korea” project (2012).
Hannie is currently the chair of ABTAPL (Association of British Theological and Philosophical Libraries), overseeing ebook collections and delivering training/talk sessions such as "Put a ring on it: Engaging your users", "Collaboration and sharing technology: Zoom meeting" and " Go digital on a shoestring for smart working". She wrote the following articles in its bulletin: “From keeper of books to keeper of data” (2018); “My perspective on being a theological librarian as a career” (2019); and "A history of the theological libraries in Oxford" (2021). Her full version of "Theological libraries in Oxford" is now published as a chapter in Theological Libraries and Library Associations in Europe (2022). Hannie is also the Theology rep of CCL (Committee of College Librarians) for the University of Oxford and a member of CILIP (the Library and Information Association).
